In a rare public appearance, Miller spoke at their film “The Flash” screening in Berlin on Wednesday. They said they were “grateful” to DC for their “support and partnership” and for “always having my back.”

Miller has been embroiled in a number of controversies in recent years, including being arrested for disorderly conduct in Hawaii in 2020 and accused of grooming a 12-year-old child.

In March, Warner Bros. announced that they would be moving forward with the release of “The Flash” in June 2023, but that they would be “reevaluating” Miller’s future in the DCEU.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Miller as the Flash, but their comments in Berlin suggest that they are hoping to move on from the controversies and focus on their career.

Here are some of the controversies that Ezra Miller has been involved in:

In 2020, Miller was arrested in Hawaii for disorderly conduct and harassment. They were accused of yelling at people, grabbing a microphone from a woman at a karaoke bar, and lunging at a man playing darts.
In 2021, Miller was accused of grooming a 12-year-old child. The parents of the child alleged that Miller had been providing them with alcohol and drugs, and had engaged in inappropriate behavior with them.
In 2022, Miller was arrested again in Hawaii for second-degree assault. They were accused of throwing a chair at a woman, which caused a head injury.
Despite the controversies, Warner Bros. has said that they are still planning to release “The Flash” in June 2023. However, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Miller as the Flash beyond that. Ezra Miller expresses gratitude to DC bosses following slew of controversies
